Adena Kaju was walking through familiar surrounding. It was strange, weirdly familiar since two years earlier, at the age of twelve, she had been kidnapped from near here and hadn't seen Valencia Island, or any of the Orange Islands, since. Now she was trying to find her sister, Missa, by becoming a trainer as she knew Missa always wanted to become one. She herself quite liked the idea of travelling with Pokémon; great adventures beat the fuss she imagined everyone would make if a girl thought to be missing for two years showed up. She closed her eyes, a smile on her face and a happy tear creeping its way down her cheek as she took deep breaths of the sea air she'd missed so much. She recognised this place, although it had changed a little bit. She grinned at the sight of the lab.
"I'm coming, Missa." she thought to herself as she raced out to the building. She had no idea as to what Pokémon she wanted, since after escaping her kidnapper she'd been talking to policemen, recovering in hospital and travelling back here. She'd had no time to look up the starters, but she knew that out of the traditional starters she would most like a Torchic. Hopefully the Professor or whoever was in would show her her options and tell her whether or not her sister had passed through.
The door was in front of her now. She knocked on it, excitement bubbling up inside her. [/blockquote]

The Professor opened the door, and saw Adena standing there. There was a Torchic at her feet. Hadn't Adena just been thinking about a Torchic. It was peeking at Adena's feet,"Torchic, that's not very friendly. Say your sorry," said Professor Ivy.
"Tor chic chic," said the Torchic. It then ran back into the lab acting hyper and peeking at some papers on a desk.
"Hey! Leave those alone!" Said Professor Ivy. She started chesing the Torchic around the room. The Torchic giggled. It was having a fun time teasing the Professor. Looked like Torchic liked to play games. Perhaps Adena should help her calm down Torchic?

Adena's eyes brightened at the sight of the Pokémon. It was odd how when you thought or spoke of something it often happened in real life. This little Torchic did seem to be a bit of a neusance to the Professor. Perhaps it would be happier out travelling where it would be able to use its energy for battling and running about without causing any trouble. The girl stepped inside the lab, taking advantage of the fact that the Torchic was distracted by Professor Ivy trying to pick it up to sneak up behind the Fire type.
Picking it up, Adena tickled its chin. "Aren't you a cutie?" she said to it, smiling. She was aware that she could always look at other Pokémon waiting to be taken from the lab as starter Pokémon, but she quite liked this one... "Is it all right if I take this Torchic as my starter Pokémon? And could you please tell me if my sister's been here? She's called Missa, brown hair, brown eyes? Has a soft spot for anything cute, and has a surfing Pikachu called Puka?" she asked, assuming Missa would still have the Pikachu that saved her from those Beedrill. [/blockquote]

Professor Ivy looked at Adena and grinned at her,"Of course you may have the Torchic. It's been wanting to get out of the lab for quite some time now," she told Adena. She was actually glad to get the wild thing out of her hair. It was the Torchic's fault she hadn't been getting enough sleep lately. And you could tell that too. She had bags under her eyes. She was glad Adena was taking the thing away. She struggled with the crazy Torchic, forcing it back into it's Pokeball. She then went and got a Pokedex and five Pokeballs and handed them and Torchic's Pokeball to the girl. She then poured a glass of hot tea and sit down,"Tea?" She asked holding a glass out to Adena. There was nothing like a nice refreshing cup of hot tea to calm down your nerves when you were stressed. When Adena mentioned Missa, Professor Ivy took a sip of her hot tea and said,"Missa? Don't know about a girl with brown hair but the girl I saw said her name was Missa Kaju. She had mid length, dirty blond hair and golden eyes, covered in thick eyelashes," said the Professor. Adena took the Pokéball and the tea, smiling to the Professor. "Thank you very much." she said, taking a sip. Ah, good old tea. It was just great to warm you up on a cold day like this, or to cheer you up a little when you were sad. A great drink, all in all. Some people might not like it, but as it has allready been established, Adena was not one of them. In fact, back home she had had a cup of tea every morning. It reminded her of home, this stuff.
At the mention of her sister's name, Adena visably perked up. "Yes! Yes, that's her!" she said excitedly. Who could blame her, really? She hadn't seen Missa in two years, there was nothing wrong with wanting to be reunited with her friend and sibling. "That's her description exactly, right down to the surname and eyelashes. Did she have a Pikachu called Puka with her? What did she pick as her starter? Where do you reckon she would be at the moment?" she asked, rays of hope shining into her. [/blockquote]

"That's her description exactly, right down to the surname and eyelashes. Did she have a Pikachu called Puka with her? What did she pick as her starter? Where do you reckon she would be at the moment?" Adena was asking way too much at once. But who could blame her. She probably missed her sister a lot.
"Calm down, Adena. Missa picked a Riolu and a Shinx for her starter. Yes, she did have a Pikachu by that name with her. He was carrying a surf board. She said it knew Surf, which is odd for a Pikachu. I'm guessing she'd be out at Route 201 right now. Why are you in such a hurry to find her?" Professor Ivy asked.

Adena soaked up the information about her sister gratefully. She'd chosen two Pokémon as her starter? Fair enough. If she was on Route 201, then if she ran, she'd be able to catch up! Provided Missa had followed the path, that was... perhaps she'd head for Tangelo Island as quickly as possible then ask around there and wait for her sister? She was much more likely to find her in a town than a route. She was in shock and disbelief at this. Of course it was Missa, how could it not be? And yet, this all seemed so strange. The girl was buzzing with excitement for all of this at the same time, the various feelings an interesting mix in her brain.
"I'm in a hurry because I've been, er, away, for two years and had no idea how to find her! Then I thought of how she'd always talked about going on a Pokémon Journey, thought it would be good to have a Pokémon of my own and here I am!" she grinned, not wanting to cause much of a fuss. Setting down her now empty cup, she waved to Professor Ivy as she left the lab. "Thank you so much for everthing! Goodbye!" she called back, then set out at a brisk walk in the direction of Route 201 and her sister. [/blockquote]
