appearance_____________
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 115 lbs
Eyes: Red
Hair: BlackSean has the overall appearance of a mysterious, quiet, generally handsome teenager. Not that he'll ever know any of his appearance for sure; he just has to take other people's word for it. His hair is very dark brown, almost black. It falls in neat locks around his face. He doesn't take much care with his hair, but he does wash it and all that, of course. The length of it means that it occasionally falls into his eyes, making him tuck it behind his ears. It isn't too short, but isn't long enough to be called long, either. This hair frames his oval face, with its smooth skin and neat features. His lips are pale, everything in decent proportions. Everything is handsome about his face, making him very popular with the ladies, aside for two things; his ears and his eyes.
His eyes are a vivid red colour. Thankfully, the whites of his eyes are still white, but the irises are a shocking ruby colour. They are quite piercing and in the dark appear to glow slightly, making them two little pinpricks of dull, eerie red light. This is a drawback if he needs to hide, since he can forget this and not close his eyes, making him very easy to find in the dark. The worst thing about these deep, loose-yourself-in type eyes is that they are empty. They have a hollow, blank feel to them as they look at nothing in particular. This is because they don't work. Sean is completely blind.
Now, his ears. Another abnormality. See, Sean's ears move upwards sharply from where they join onto the sides of his head. They point upwards, tall and covered in short black fur, a gold ring around the top. This ring glows like his eyes in the dark, and it is a lot harder for him to stop them from glowing if he wants to be hidden than it is his eyes. He can hear better than a normal person, but that's not because of his being a Pokemorph, it's because of the creepily good hearing blind people tend to develop to make up for the loss of their sight.
Sean has a thin, strong, agile build. His skin is quite pale, making him seem like he rarely gets any sun despite being an outdoorsy person. He reaches 6 foot in height, but it that's just a rogh estimate since he can't measure himself and he hasn't been bothered to ask someone else to do it for him. He weighs at about 7 or 8 stone, again he's not sure. He is quite thin with not much fat on him. His life has coated him in a thin layer of defined muscles, giving him more shape. This otherwise nice shape is ruined by his right leg, which freaks a lot of people out. While one is strong and normal, the other is kind of weird. His right leg from just above the knee is the slender leg of an Umbreon. Tufts of fur grow along his thigh until the leg changes completely from a human one to an Umbreon one. On the right side just above his knee is a golden ring that glows in the dark, this one easily hidden by wearing trousers. Since the bone structure of an Umbreon leg is very different to that or a human, his legs are doing very slightly different things when he walks, plus since his right leg is designed to have three other legs and a tail to help it, he has a noticeable limp. The leg is covered in short, soft black fur, ending in a neat little paw. It would let him run and jump faster but since his other leg is normal, he can only get a slightly better jump if he uses one leg.
Sean dresses as stylishly as a blind person can, which basically means wearing practical and comfortable stuff which one of the friends he trusts enough to see for him claims looks good. He'll wear trousers as a rule, not wanting to show anyone his odd leg so they can just assume he's crippled instead. His ears are harder to hide. He often wears a long hooded coat, brown in colour. He has had it for a while and it is much loved. His trousers are usually blue jeans. His shirts are generally short sleeved and can be a variety of colours. There are a few patches of fur up his arms and normal leg, but his clothing hides these. He is rarely seen without being covered up like that in public, even when it's hot; he simply wears thinner, cooler clothes. In addition to all of this, he wears a small pendant round his neck. Hanging from a silver chain, it forms the outline of a crescent moon with the same silver, filled in with pretty stone, with swirling shades or blacks, blues and purples.the pen is stronger than any sharpened sword,
but everything i write to you makes me feel like a fool
personality______________
Strengths: Intelligent, quick-thinking, kind, empathetic and open-minded.
Weaknesses: Blind, emotionally scarred, limps, bad at languages, incredibly low self-esteem.
Ambitions: To see again, to not need to hide who he is
Likes: People accepting him, life in general, having someone to talk to, writing songs.
Dislikes: Being blind, himself (at times), explosions, stupid people.
Fears: Explosions, bombs, loud banging sounds.A personality is a deep and complex thing, and Sean is mo exception to this. He is quiet and mysterious, easy to not notice, very self-conscious and wary. The boy is intelligent in some ways and not so good in others. Pretty obviously, he can't read; he can't see what's written on paper and he never took Braille too seriously, so when presented with Braille he will take a long time to make sense of it. He generally asks someone else to read it for him. This is a major drawback, but he gets by. No, he is intelligent in the ways of logic, science and random, very much useless facts. He enjoys logic puzzles and is good at them, able to think straight and figure out things. He has always taken an interest in science, especially biology- most of his random useless facts are about that sort of thing. He has good observational skills (with hearing and his extra sense, more on that later), able to tell a bit about someone through their voice and is quick thinking to judge people. As a result, he finds other people very slow and annoying. Don't be an idiot around him or he'll lose his temper surprisingly fast for one normally so calm. While excelling at this along with the general knowledge for survival, he is average at maths skills and very, very poor indeed at languages. He tries his best, but the most you'll ever get out of him in a foreign language is 'bonjour', 'mien fuss tut weh' (my foot hurts), or 'fanta naranja' (fanta orange). That's pretty much it. As for the arts, he varies. In drawing, you can't whether he's drawing a mouse or a hippo. In acting, he's all right, perhaps better than average, but nothing special. However, he is quite musical. He can't play an instrument, but he has a decent singing voice, enjoying writing songs. He's painfully shy about it, never letting anyone hear him.
There is a mysterious air about Sean, which makes him seem a part of the background. This sometimes makes his lady admirers think he is playing hard to get and fall for him even more, much to his annoyance. He is straight, but he doesn't like attention very much and prefers the sort of girl who would like him for him, not the sort who would decide they liked the look of him and stalk him until they realised he was blind and Pokemorph. He isn't the sort of guy who would go out with anyone; he needs to get to know them first. He is, however, the sort of guy who would give a slut a good slap and tell her to sort her life out.
Most of the time, he's pretty easy-going but wary and doubtful at the same time. After the explosion which cost him his eyes, ears, leg and nearly his life, he realises just how lucky he is to be here and how easy it could be to die. As a result, he can't understand people who hate life, and also hates whoever set off the explosion. He also has a great fear of explosions, jumping and going pale at loud bangs, mentions of bombs and can't stand films or games with explosions in. He'd scream and he used to cry. He certainly has nightmares. This sort of mental scarring as also made him feel quite down about himself sometimes. He feels that he isn't good enough anymore, that he must be a bad person if something like an explosion could happen to him, and if so many people avoided him because he was like he was that there must be something wrong with him. Sometimes he feels happy to be alive, but if too many people avoid him and judge him he'll feel inhuman and become depressed.
Sean is easy to ignore, since he tends not to talk much unless he is around good friends. Only those friends and relatives see his real, happy smile and his gentle laugh. This is because he has what can only be described as trust issues. It's hard to become his friend, but generally he has a load of acquaintances he likes, but just a select few friends whom he truly trusts. He feels at home with his friends, loving to be around them. Even if they can be as stupid as the rest of the world sometimes. He is practical, too, being blind. After all, he doesn't care about how something looks, just that it does it's purpose. He won't care what a Pokémon or person looks like so long as he can get along and trust them.
Since he is a Pokemorph, he does have some special abilities. Nothing stupid, just basic things - he can't battle or anything. For one, his eyes and the rings around his ears and right thigh give off a little light in the dark, but since his eyes don't pick that up it's more of a hindrance than anything else. His Umbreonic right leg is stronger than his left, but unbalanced so unless he pushes off for a strong jump on his right leg only, that becomes a hindrance too. The only special ability gained by being a Pokemorph for him is his sixth (or fifth, considering he's missing one) sense. This is basically an awareness of things happening around him. Things in the distance he can sense as vague blobs, while he can sense things close to him with more detail. He still can't see them, but with a little imagination he can figure out what the shapes might be. This comes from his four working senses combining with the Umbreon genes in his eyes interpreting them to send a rough message of his surroundings to his brain. It's a pretty useful thing his scientist doctors gave him, one of the few things he's grateful for. He can also understand the speech of Pokémon, and this he finds useful as it can help him be friendlier towards Pokémon.they say time's a healer,

history_________________
Mother: Jill Finch (Fuchsia City, Kanto)
Father: Andrew Finch (Fuchsia City, Kanto)
Brother: Charlie Finch (Travelling Johto)
Hometown: Fuchsia City, KantoSean was born to two loving parents named Andrew and Jill, and a brother called Charlie whom he is very close to. Charlie is a year older than him. When Sean was born, his extended family hosted a welcome home party when his mother brought him home, which mostly consisted of people catching up with each other and making a huge fuss of him. When he and his brother were a little older, Charlie was quite jealous of Sean. He was two, but everyone would make a fuss of his one-year-old brother. Charlie would shout, try to annoy and eventually eat his brother's sweets or drink or whatever. As they grew to be four and three Sean could fight back better, leading to more exhausted parents and a more entertained brother. Their parents would tell them off and make them sit on the naughty step, and despite hating that the sibling rivalry continued. Andrew and Jill were worried about how they'd act at school. Amazingly, Charlie was reported to have settled in well, making friends and staying out of trouble. The bad behaviour must be reserved for his brother, then.
Sean turned four, meaning the following September he would start school. He was incredibly nervous and scared of leaving his mum, but Charlie actually comforted him, seeing that people weren't actually ignoring him and caring for Sean. He could see that they were equal, and reassured his younger brother that everything would be fine. And it was. The four-year-old Sean enjoyed his first day of school, and started to make friends with the other kids. His relationship with his brother was getting better, the two beginning to help each other and be friends. To Andrew and Jill this deserved a sigh of relief, since at last they didn't have to be afraid of the impact the two's fighting might make on any visitors. Sean was easing into school much more relaxed because of his help, while without it he might have distanced himself from the others or become the class cry baby or something. Sean's character was becoming stronger.
As life went on, Sean grew up as a perfectly normal, average little kid. Wide-eyed, innocent and convinced that all the world was happy smiles and all that. However, as he grew up, he found out about the bad things in the world, as everyone does. Shocked, he was absolutely horrified by the prospect of people throwing their lives away and drinking and all that stuff. He would pester his parents as to how people could be like that, but otherwise he tried to shove that aside and get on with life as normal. Learning about the bad things in life was all a part of growing up. He had a group of friends, and got along well with everyone in his class. They stuck together and if any bullies threatened they would easily stand up for themselves. This meant they could run around the playground in peace, no worries of being beaten up. Sean, or Fell to some of his friends, continued his childhood with his brother Charlie. His childhood continued normally without much event.
By the age of twelve, Sean was a happy kid who would go about whistling or humming to himself, a few of the girls in his year wanted to go out with him. He would only sing around Pokémon- Fuchsia is famous for attracting rare Pokémon. His singing would keep some of the Pokémon away, but a few liked to listen and sometimes things more used to humans, mostly Pidgeys, would sing along. He was happy and satisfied with his life, but that changed with the most interesting thing that has ever happened to him.
It was a perfectly ordinary day in Fuchsia. A few tourists were about to look at the zoo and watch the few trainers catch Pokémon in the Safari Zone, and a few trainers were nervously preparing for a gym battle, happily catching rare Pokémon in the Safari Zone or relaxing with their Pokémon. Sean was sitting up against the bars of a Kangaskhan's cage, feeding it titbits and watching the trainers enviously. Some day he wanted to do that. The sound of wings made him look to a spot directly to his right, where a Pidgey had landed and watched him happily. He grinned back, recognizing her as one of the birds who would sing along with him. He reached out slowly and gently rubbed a finger on top of her head, humming one of her favourite tunes. She nipped at his finger affectionately, twittering along. Maybe he'd start training with one of the Pokémon that had grown attached to him. That might be cool. He threw a few crumbs to the Pidgey, the Flying type eventually fluttering forward and taking a bite of the food in his hands, making him giggle.
Suddenly, a call he'd come to know as one of alarm rose from some Pokémon nearby, passing onto the bird next to him who flew off immediately with a shrill cry. He was puzzled, and wondered out of the zoo area to find a man crouched beside a building all alone. There was no-one nearby, since it was an early Saturday morning and most people would be lying in or walking in some more pleasant areas of the town. The man kept looking around nervously, and spied Sean. He sucked in a sharp, scared breath as Sean recognized the very tall building as the headquarters of a big company. Since it was the weekend, it would be locked up with nobody inside. So who was this man? Sean moved closer to see what he was doing, and saw a mass of wires, coloured lights and all sorts of other things. What could that be? The man was wringing his hands nervously. "Clear off, kid! I don't want anyone to get hurt, but this company's mean! Go on! Scram! You didn't see anything, did you?" the man snarled. Sean could see the fear in his eyes.
"No, I did see. What is it?" the twelve year old asked, puzzled. The man blinked, then swore loudly. "OhsweetArceus, I set it wrong! Not much time, it-"
KA-BOOOOOOOM!
Debris went flying everywhere as fire exploded outwards, pushing Sean and the man to the ground. The bomb caused the building to crumble and fall in on itself, the explosion hitting Sean full in the face while the unbearable noise made his ears ring. He tried desperately to cling to consciousness as he felt a tremendous pain erupt in his right thigh, an unnerving numbness below, no sound hitting his ears any more, eyes tightly shut against the dust, but it was no use. The boy went limb as his lungs filled with vile fumes.
Naturally, this woke the entire city and distressed all the Pokémon and children. Immediately, the police, rangers, fire brigade and hospital sprang into action, searching for any people in the rubble of the building. Sean's family along with several others were in tears with worry over several people who had gone outside, but sooner or later they were found among the crowd of pretty much everyone in the city. The boss of the company was crying, too. Andrew, Jill and Charlie clung tightly to each other as they were called over by a paramedic to see two covered figures on stretchers being loaded into the ambulance. The man was a parent of one of Charlie's friends, and murmured softly, "Sean's in the ambulance. I'm sorry. I'm not going to lie to you. He's still alive unlike the man, but his condition could prove fatal. He's missing a leg, his eyes are damaged deeply and his ears were busted by the noise. You won't be allowed to see him just yet, but I thought you'd want to know."
While his family shut themselves away, not daring to believe what had happened, the unconscious Sean was being looked over by doctors and a few scientists who had been called in, "We need to act quickly or he will die. I called you in, scientists, because of your research into stem cells and how they can grow parts of the body. That's his best chance, since the alternative would make him blind and deaf, missing a leg and enough chunks of his body to make him possibly bleed to death before we can do anything or at least make him pretty ugly," the head doctor of Fuchsia said hurriedly. No-one deserved a fate like that. The head scientist ran a hand through his hair. "Well, it might be possible, but-" he stopped. "But what?" the head doctor tried to rush him, tapping her foot impatiently. They were working against the clock, couldn't he see that?! "The only cells we have right now are that if an Umbreon, since we've only experimented successfully and harmlessly with Pokémon so far..." he stopped again. "It'll do. It's better than dying or losing his sight and hearing. Put him on the gas and wheel him into the theatre, quickly!" the head doctor ordered, rushing to prepare her things for the operating theatre.
Things went smoothly during the operation, although it was long and stressful. The scientists helped the doctors operate by explaining what they knew, the two teams making things a lot easier. Gradually, Sean's body began to show signs of accepting the cells as the body worked with the cells to regrow a leg, muscle tissue, ears, and help reconstruct part of Sean's eyes. Of course, the process of healing would take a while, but it had been done before on Pokémon- like putting a human ear on a Rattata - just never on humans. Well, they had to push aside the fact that the cells were not human, and remember that it was the only thing they actually had. The hope was that the boy's body would tell the cells to grow like what had been there before, but this did not seem to be completely working. Still, everything was going well, aside from the eyes. They had been damaged beyond repair, since even the links to the brain were unusable. After ten hours of careful incisions, inserting, checking, monitoring and stitching, the operation was deemed mostly a success and Sean was isolated in an intensive care ward to be closely monitored in peace.
When Sean woke, he was groggy after being heavily sedated, and groaned, struggling to sit up. He couldn't, it was too hard. He could hear a fast but regular bleeping. At first he grumbled in annoyance, but then he remembered what had happened and figured it must be his own heartbeat. He could barely hear it! The world sounded like he had his fivers in his ears. Oh dear! He looked up, sensing someone over him and opening his eyes. Wait- he could sense two living people. His eyes flicked painfully between the two, and he winced with pain and alarm that he couldn't see them. "You're looking at us! We thought the cells in your eyes wouldn't repair them! Uh... Can you hear me?" a voice said excitedly. Sean nodded. "How are you feeling? Are you all right?"
Sean managed a smile. It ached. "I'm fine, a little achy. Just one problem, though… I can't see!" he moaned, noticing how numb his body felt.
"Oh... We thought you might. You'll feel numb, but that's just the painkillers. We put stem cells into your missing right leg, deafened ears and ruined eyes as well as various other injuries beyond stitching up. It's experimental, but the alternative would be deafness, blindness, loss of a leg and probably death. Your body's accepted them and they're regrowing. You'll be able to go home in about a month. Only problem is that the only cells we could find belonged to, er, an Umbreon..."
It's not hard to imagine the argument that followed. Sean learned that what had been done to him was definitely the best thing possible, and he regrew everything while drifting in and out of consciousness. His family were allowed to see him shortly after the operation and broke down crying at the bloodied mess covered in tubes and machines that was their son, but things got prettier as the process went along, and after a week or so his friends were allowed to see him for set amounts of time. The scientists were extremely interested in how he could sense things while being blind, and this grew stronger as the genes settled in with his own, especially with things closer to him. His leg became human sized but Umbreon shaped, as did the other foreign cells. His eyes turned from soft, deep brown to empty, deep red.
When Sean arrived back home again, he was afraid to go out in case people made fun of him. Eventually, his brother Charlie grew to sorry for him he bought him his long brown hooded coat, far too big for him but his brother knew it would fit him all his life. Sean wore it and went outside, making his way to the zoo slowly and carefully by memory and his new sense, which he didn't trust too much. Sitting on a bench, he sensed something nearby fly towards him, landing on the armrest of the bench. He then felt warm feathers rub against his hard and heard a sweet Pidgey's chirping version of her favourite tune Sean had written. His heart pounded as he remembered how this same bird had listened to his hummed version on the last day he could see. He sensed no one around, so sang it back, words and all. A few more Pokémon came to listen.
Sean returned to school, and as predicted people bullied him. His friends, however, were much kinder, reading the questions in his textbooks out to him while he scribbled the answered in his messy scrawl. He became much more wary, developing from a happy carefree kid into the mature Sean we know today. He grew used to his new way of life, ever grateful to his friends for standing up for him and helping him get along without his sight. Some of them went off to be trainers, but he wanted to wait a little. He had his eyes set on the Orange Islands.
Charlie left to become a trainer at the age of fifteen too, when Sean was fourteen. He left on the Magnet Train for the Johto region, leaving Sean feeling lonely. The two brothers were extremely close, after all. When he left, Charlie gave Fell a gift- the crescent moon shaped pendant he always wears, saying how the moon with the colours was beautiful and how the moon reminded him of Umbreons. He left, saying to Fell that they'd still be looking at the same sun and moon, and that they would keep in touch. Sean does keep in touch with his brother, and the last thing he heard from Charlie was that he was an extremely successful trainer with lots of exotic Pokémon and training hard to challenge the elite soon, and that Charlie was proud that his little brother was becoming a trainer too. Shortly after his fifteenth birthday, Fell said goodbye to his friends, promised to keep them updated with his journey through his mobile phone (his phone is specially designed for blind people with raised letters and numbers and can say out loud what the message is in a robotic, slightly hard to understand voice) and the Internet on his iPod, and he set off for the Orange Islands.
