Sean Finch was preparing to train his Pokémon, a Ponyta he had just obtained from the lab. He wouldn't have bothered to do this if he wasn't worried that being blind might have an affect on his abilities as a trainer; this session wasn't just about letting his new companion gain a few levels, it was about getting to know him a little so that he knew he could trust him in case of the horse needing to be his eyes for him, and teahing him how to be his eye in the first place. Sean wanted to level up the currently unnamed Fire type a much as possible so that he was prepared, but also feel satisfied and secure in his Pokémon's abilities as a guide. He had planned a little to see first what the Ponyta could do, then spend a little time with him as a warmup and to gain trust before training him physically, and during this he'd try and learn to ride him, too.
Sean released the horse from his Pokéball, stopping when the Pokémon looked at him with his soft brown eyes and the boy had an idea for a name. "How about I call you Gilderoy? You OK with that? It's from a wizard in a book," he explained, Sean being a bit of a nerd. The Ponyta shrugged, then nodded, not really minding. He didn't really min anything people called him, to be honest, so long as it wasn't too insulting or anything. Sean approached him and rested a hand on his neck. Gilderoy shivered a little at the touch, looking directly into the scarred boy's ruby eyes. There was something odd about them aside from the whole Umbreon thing. He looked at them curiously. There was a lot he had to learn about this kid, that was for sure. Sean wasn't responding to his staring, which was puzzling to him. ~Sean? You OK?~
Sean raised his handsome face level with Gilderoy's. "Yeah, fine. Sorry if I seem like I'm blanking you, I'm sorta blind. That was my main aim of this training session; for you can start to get used to the sorts of things you'll have to do to help me. Well have to become incredibly close and trusting of one another so you can help me as I help you," he explained, obviously not seeing the surprised look on Gilderoy's face, "so if you don't mind, I'll train you but ride you, too," he requested.[/size][/blockquote]
