Katrina's Pok?mon journey begins!

"Woah there, Wavestorm! I'm glad you're excited about meeting a new friend, but don't go too fast or else I won't be able to keep up with you!" Katrina Azula giggled as she chased her Pikachu down the path to Professor Ivy's lab. Katrina was a female ten year old Shinx Pokemorph, about to get her Starter Pokémon. Wavestorm was her Surfing Pikachu, who was currently rushing to the lab. Katrina was carrying his blue surfboard which had a picture of a Pikachu on.

Wavestorm didn't pay any attention to Katrina's plea to slo down, instead scurrying even faster to the lab. Soon, Wavestorm arrived at the lab door. He stopped in the nick of time. Katrina arrived soon after, panting like a dog.
"Why do you have to be so fast, Wavestorm?" Katrina panted, knocking on the lab door.

[Professor Ivy]

Professor Ivy, was in the middle of some paperwork. An Aipom came and grabbed her work with it's tail,"Hey! Bring that back!" She screamed, chasing the Aipom around the lab. A lot of things being knocked over and breaking could be heard from outside the lab. The Professor managed to get the papers back and was just setting them on the desk when she heard the knock at the door. She went and answered the door, the Aipom on her shoulder,"Hello, are you here for a Pok?mon? Sorry about the mess."

"You must be Professor Ivy, Pok?mon Professor of the Orange Islands. And yes, I am here for a Pok?mon. By the way, my name's Katrina," Katrina replied. The Aipom jumped off Professor Ivy's shoulder and began to play with Wavestorm. They got on so well, playing tag around the lab.

The Professor, let Katrina in and gave her a clipboard. It had a listing of the Pok?mon she could pick from,"Or if you've like you can meet a few of them first before making your choice," Professor Ivy grinned.

Katrina looked at the clipboard she had been given. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle... Too normal for me. Katrina thought as she looked at the list of names. Wait! Eevee's a starter choice, and I love Eevee! It can evolve into Jolteon, my second favourite Pok?mon! But Pachirisu seems good too. But what about Vulpix? she thought.
"Is it OK if I meet Eevee, Pachirisu and Vulpix before I make my final choice? Please?" Katrina asked.

[Professor Ivy]

The Professor nodded. She took the clipboard and got the three requested Pok?mon, letting them out of there Pokeballs. The first to appear was Pachirisu, who saw Katrina, and went and curled up in her lap. Seemed this one liked to be babied a lot. The Eevee was tackling the Vulpix, showing it was a bully, and liked picking on Pok?mon weaker then it. The Vulpix just walked away, more interested in some dust on the floor then Katrina. It then started chasing it's tails, showing it was a very hyper Pok?mon.

"I think I'll choose this Vulpix as my starter Pok?mon, if that's OK," Katrina said after quite a long think. The Vulpix paid some attention and trotted over to Katrina, and the Pachirisu jumped out of her lap to let Vulpix bond with Katrina. Vulpix curled up next to her, resting a little.
"It seems like Vulpix likes me," Katrina giggled.

[Professor Ivy]

Professor Ivy called back, the Eevee and the Pachirisu back into there Pokeballs and handed, Katrina 5 Pokeballs, a Pokedex and Vulpix's Pokeball,"I'm guessing you know how to use these right? Or would you like for me to explain it?" She asked her.

"Thanks, Professor Ivy! I'm pretty sure I'll figure out how to use Pokeballs by myself, though. Being told things that you can discover yourself takes the fun out of them," Katrina grinned, looking at the Pokeball she had recieved. It contained her starter Pokémon, a Vulpix. I think I'll call her Kitsuna, since I've heard her evolution looks like a kitsune. Katrina tried to open the Pokeball to let Kitsuna out, but to no avail. Then she remembered how Professor Ivy had opened the Pokeball; by pressing a button on the front. She tried that, and Vulpix appeared on the ground again.
"Vulpix, you're called Kitsuna now. OK?" Katrina asked Kitsuna. The Vulpix nodded, seeming to like her nickname. Then Katrina scanned Kitsuna on her Pokedex. It told her that Kitsuna had the moves Tail Whip and Ember, as well the ability Flash Fire.
"I think I'd better get out now, and begin my Pokémon journey. Thanks for the Pokémon and equipment again, Professor Ivy! Bye!" Katrina grinned, before opening the lab door and walking out of the door. Wavestorm and Kitsuna fought a little, but when Katrina looked at them, they stopped fighting and followed her out of the lab.
