"Get back here, Sparky!" Missa called as she, Puka and Lux chessed the Shinx down the road of Route 201. It had a lot of energy for such a small Pokémon. Her, Riolu, Lux seemed to be catching up though while the Pikachu, Puka was falling behind.
Sparky kept on running though, ignoring Missa. He was in a real hyper mood right now and wanted to play games. Missa was getting tired out. Where did the Shinx get all this energy from? She almost wished she hadn't taken a second starter after all. Well, almost anyway.
Just then Lux, being the strong type of Pokémon he is caught up to Sparky,<What do you think your doing?> Lux asked him,<Can't you see your wearing, Missa out?>
Sparky stopped running and allowed the Riolu to lead him back to Puka and Missa,<I'm sorry. I just wanted to play,> Sparky sighed. Puka was on Missa's lap resting.
<Well, next time think, will you? Missa can't run as fast as we do,> Lux mentioned to the Shinx. He then looked at Puka,<And neither can you I guess.> The two then set down to relax at Missa's feet, as she set there with Puka on her lap.

A boy didn't notice the Shinx behind him until the shiny Charmander at his side jabbed his leg and pointed. ~Logan. Shinx ahoy.~ he said simply. The little guy had so far surprised Logan, his trainer, with how relaxed he was about the whole being able to be understood because of Logan being a werepokémon thing. Presently, Logan turned around, seeing Sparky and smiling, thinking he was a wild Pokémon. When a Riolu came up behind him, a trainer in sight behind, he sighed. Ah, so the Shinx already had a trainer. Oh, well. At least that meant he had company. He walked up to the girl, who appeared to be sitting with a Pikachu, both a little out of breath after, quite probably, chasing the Shinx. The girl herself looked a bit older than Logan by about three years. Logan smiled, giving her a little wave. "Hey, my name's Logan. This is the shiny Charmander I just got from the lab. His name's Helios. What are these three called?" he introduced himself, looking at Puka, Lux and Sparky. They seemed pretty bonded with their trainer all ready. "I think your Shinx might have thought you chasing him was a game. Not chasing him would be an idea, but then there would be chance that he'd get himself lost." he tried to suggest something before realizing why it would be a bad idea. Helios gave the other three Pokémon a nod. ~You guys are the first living things we've met on this route. Congrats. Logan's not very good at travelling alone, so no doubt he'll ask your trainer to travel with us for a bit.~ he shrugged.[/blockquote]

Missa looked up to see a boy about the same age as herself. He wasn't that much taller then her. But she could tell right away he looked cute. She had a crush on the boy, right away even though they just met. He had those deep blue eyes that she felt like she could get lost in. She then stared at his wavy brown hair and his bangs that was in his face, or seemed to be anyway.
He seemed to be pale skinned just like her. And he was holding a light weight backpack. Missa felt like she could just stare at Logan all day long. Her Riolu, Lux kept poking her trying to snap her out of it,"Oh! I'm sorry. I'm..M..Missa," she said a little nervous as she blushed,"This is Lux, Sparky and Puka," she pointed each Pok?mon out,"Puka's not a normal Pikachu, he has the move Surf."
Missa then leaned down to pet the shiny Charmander,"Nice to meet you Helios. My name is Missa," she said patting the shiny Charmander on his head. She thought he was beautiful for a shiny Pok?mon. Her Riolu, Lux went on the alert trying to protect her,"Calm down Lux. It's ok," she told him as she petted the shiny Charmander. Seeing Helios wasn't a threat to Missa, Lux calmed down.

"Lux, hm? I think I heard of a Lucario called that once." Logan smiled, making dimples appear and light up his face, not noticing Missa's feelings for him. She seemed like a nice person who cared about her Pokémon, perhaps with the potential to be a good friend to him. "How come Puka knows Surf? Oh, and where did you meet them?" he asked, wondering if she has found a wild Pokémon yet and if so might have some tips on battling for him. He'd never fought before, and with only what he'd seen on TV to guide him he was a little nervous about having to battle.
Helios dodged away from the pat, not too affectionate and preferring to be treated like a human rather than a Pokémon. He didn't want to be considered a cute pet, he'd rather be considered an equal. He didn't quite realise that Missa probably thought of him as having the same rights as a human, however. The lizard instead held out his hand for Missa to shake. [/blockquote]

Missa then pulled out a special Premium Pokeball,"Oh, I almost forgot, Logan I have one more Pokémon. I normally keep her in her Pokeball a lot. She's a little shy of others. She's a pink colored Butterfree, called Beauty," Missa said. She then called out the butterfly type out of her Pokeball.
"Feeee!" Beauty said as she appeared from her Pokeball. She saw Logan right away and got scared, hiding behind Missa.
"It's ok, Beauty. This is my new friend, Logan. He won't hurt you," Missa told her. She patted her on the head.
Beauty peered out from behind, Missa studying Logan,"Feee," she then hid back behind Missa.

Weren't Butterfree usually blue? Even the shinies weren't this colour... Logan guessed this must be one of those pink Pokémon from that island on which all the Pokémon were pink. Missa must have caught Beauty there, and so must have travelled a lot further out than he had. Still, wouldn't her Pokémon be a lot stronger than this if that was the case? Maybe Beauty had been a gift or something like that. He looked at Helios, and the shiny Charmander looked back at him. They both knew that the other was thinking that they couldn't be very good at this training and battling thing if they only had one Pokémon while this girl had four already; even if that was a lot, that must mean that most people would have two or three by now at least.
"How did you catch all these Pokémon? I've never even seen one in the wild, and I'd like some advice. You have to battle them first, right? Then if you defeat them your Pokémon gains levels and you can try and catch the wild Pokémon. It seems simple, but... if you've already got four Pokémon and I don't have any, how am I supposed to catch up? Doesn't that make me a bad trainer?" he asked, a little desperation in his voice as he feared that he'd failed so soon in his journey.
Helios tapped his hand gently, and the boy turned, slightly puzzled. A Marill had been watching them, her ears twitching slightly as she saw that Logan and Helios had seen her. She walked up to the two humans, smiling. ~Hello, there. Let me see... Well, you've got two Electric types and you're bound to use one against me, but you have a Fire type... I think I'll battle you, then.~ she said to Helios, thinking the two humans wouldn't understand her. The salamander rolled his eyes, folding his arms. "You think I'd let a Fire type battle a Water type when we have no experience whatsoever and haven't got a clue about battling or any of that? You're mistaken. I'd like to see Missa battle you; that way, I can see how this thing works. Deal?" Logan spoke sternly to the Marill, who was a little stunned that he had understood her. ~Okie dokes, mister. Calm, yeah? I'll fight the lady, but no using a type advantage, understood? Else I'll just run away and go pick on someone who'll be fairer.~ she demanded, turning to Missa. Logan shrugged. "Marill says she'll fight you, but you can't use a type advantage or she'll run away; that means Puka and Sparky can't fight her." he explained. [/blockquote]

RioluName: Lux Gender: Male Level 5Ability: Inner Focus ~Inner Focus prevents flinching. However, it doesn't prevent flinching when the user is attacked whilst using Focus Punch.~Personally: Calm Attacks: Quick Attack, Foresight, Endure Met: Starter Pokémon HP: 21/21 "Fine then. Go get her Lux! I was going to use you first anyway," Missa said pointing. The Riolu, nodded his head and ran out to face the Marill. Marill didn't know what she was getting herself into though. Riolus have been known to be natural born fighters and could sense auras, just like there evolved form, Lucario,"Lux, use Quick Attack!" "Rio!" Lux screamed as he powered up and ran at the unsuspecting Marill hoping to hit the water type hard. He was a natural born fighter and wanted to make Missa proud of him. On the side lines Sparky saw how much fun Lux was having and decided to join in,"Shinx!" Sparky screamed getting ready to run out onto the battlefield. "Pika pika," Puka called out telling Sparky not to interfere in this battle, otherwise Marill would run away. When he refused to listen, Puka went over to Logan and said,<Could you do Missa a favor? Sparky is trying to jump into the fight. But if he does, Marill will run away. And he won't listen to me when I tried to tell him not to. Could you stop him please?>

A Pidgey was soaring overhead, when it noticed the battle between Missa and the Marill. Wanting to join in, it flew down to the ground, just in front of the Marill. "Hey, battle me! I want to battle too!" the Pidgey eagerly tweeted. But as soon as it saw Missa had two Electric Types, it backed away from her. "I'm not battling you, you'll use a type advantage against me!" the Pidgey shouted at Missa. Then the Pidgey walked over to Logan. "You only have a Fire Type and no Ice, Electric or Rock Types. So, you'll be a great match-up. I'll battle you." it tweeted, before flapping its wings in the direction of Helios. A small wind was whipped up, and it blew in the direction of Logan's shiny Charmander.

ooc// Dragonite, could you please say the name of the attack you use, I don't know what attack it is that Pidgey's using otherwise. Also remember to make Pidgey not too much stronger than Helios, who's at level 5.
ic// Marill, level 6Ability: Thick Fat- Fire and Ice-type moves deal 50% damage.Attacks: Tackle, Defense Curl HP: 18/21
Marill wasn't expecting Lux to launch into battle so quickly, the Quick Attack seeming to come out of nowhere. That was to be expected of a move famous for its speed which would always strike first, but that didn't do anything to make Marill happier. It still hurt. The rotund Water type snarled angrily, using the ball on the end of her tail to speed up her retaliation, a basic but strong Tackle attack. She was tougher than she looked, but not too fast like most of her species.
~
Logan was happy to help out, picking up the Shinx and grinning at him, ruffling Sparky's fur. "Aren't you a cutie, eh? I think Lux wants to have this battle, but don't worry; it'll be your turn soon enough. Why don't you just watch and learn from those two in the meantime, OK?" he suggested to the energetic Pokémon, hoping he would behave himself.
The sight of the Pidgey made Logan a bit happier. Helios was a little nervous, yet twitchy with excitement as he faced his first ever opponent with a grin. The shiny looked at the bird, easily sidestepping the winds before looking to his trainer for his order. "Use a Scratch, Helios!" called Logan. Helios leapt into action, springing at a fast speed towards the Pidgey with his claw at the ready to let out as good a Scratch attack as he could manage.

18/21 The Tackle attack hit Lux, doing as much damage to him as he had done to the Marill,"Don't give in Lux! Fight back with another Quick Attack!" Missa ordered. "Lu!" Lux nodded his head. He ran at Marill hoping to cause more damage to the mouse Pok?mon. He hoped to land a critical hit if he could that is. Sparky had calmed down and just set there and watched the battle. Missa ignored the fact that a Pidgey just flew in and that Logan was fighting it. She was too forcussed on her battle right now.

OOC: Gust was the attack.
IC: Helios launched into a Scratch Attack, coming at the Pidgey quite fast. The Scratch hit the Pidgey hard, knocking it backwards onto its back. But the Pidgey got up, and dashed into a Tackle attack. It dashed at Helios quite fast, with sharp eyes locked on the shiny Charmander. This Pidgey was quite determined to win.
OOC: Pidgey LV4, 18/21 HP. Ability- Keen Eye. Also, the Pidgey is quite fast because Pidgeys are meant to be quite fast.

14/21+1 Defence
Marill smiled to herself as her Tackle hit, proud that she had managed to land a hit on such a fast Pokémon. This speed was then used against her in the next Quick Attack, throwing her to the ground and making her cry out in pain. That one had seemed a little stronger than the previous one, as though it had been a direct hit. She certainly didn't fancy being hit by one of those again. If she was, she might as well be prepared; to do so, she chose to curl into a ball, flashing briefly to show that her defence stat had been raised. If she were hit by any more attacks, they would be less effective. She then sprang out of the ball and charged at Lux in another Tackle, although this one would be easier to dodge as Lux would have had more time to prepare himself for it.
~
ooc// Pidgeys don't learn Gust until level 9, so a level 4 one shouldn't know that move yet.
ic// Pleased that Sparky had setted down, Logan was now able to concentrate more on te battle. He could see that the Pidgey was clearly a fair bit faster than Helios, and so there wouldn't be much point in trying to dodge. Instead, he should use this to his advantage. "Helios, don't bother dodging; it's too fast! Wait until it hits you, then use a Scratch up close!" he called, a little unsure of how well this would work but confident and hopeful all the same.
The shiny Charmander could see the Pidgey had speed, proving the commonly known fact that what Flying types lacked in defence and attack, they made up for with devastating speed and endurance. The Tackle was more painful than Helios had been hoping for, but his claws sliced forward without hesitation. From so close they were touching, an attack would find it difficult to miss.

15/21
"Quickly! Use Endure, Lux," Missa called. Lux used Endure and braced himself, cutting down the hit making the attack seem weaker as he endured the hit. He was pushed back only a few inches by the Marill's Tackle attack, as he held his arms out in front of him in a crossed manor,"Great! Now use Quick Attack again, while Marill is right up on you to deal major damage."
Lux powered up his Quick Attack to use on the Marill. Since Marill was so close to Lux already, no running was required of the Quick Attack. And even though Marill raised her defense a Quick Attack at this close range would do major damage if it hit. So, instead of running, Lux prepared to head butt Marill with the attack.

OOC: Sorry, I was thinking abut RBGY, so I used the attacks from there. My bad :x
IC: The close range Scratch hit Pidgey hard, making it fall back. However, it used the energy it had left to kick up some sand at Helios with Sand Attack. The TinyBird Pokémon hoped the sand would go in Helios' eyes, so that he would have reduced accuracy.

12/21+1 Defence
ooc// Endure doesn't lower the effectiveness of a move, it means that if the Pokémon would have fainted from the attack they would still have 1 HP left.
ic// Marill saw that Lux was trying to use a Quick Attack from close up, with the thought that this would make it stronger. It secured the hit and made it just about impossible for the Water type to dodge, but without a run-up the attack had much less speed- it was physically impossible to accelerate that fast, after all, so it was to be expected. Marill rolled over back onto her feet after the Quick attack landed, thinking that it would be a good idea to try being as close to Lux as possible in future; that way, all his Quick Attacks wouldn't have any space to accelerate over and so would all have less power. There was the drawback in that her Tackle attacks would have no room to accelerate over either, which wasn't too bad since she mostly relied on weight rather than speed. Another disadvantage of that would be that she would have very little chance of dodging at all.
Marill didn't have much of a choice of what to do next, what with only knowing one offensive move to choose from. She stepped back a little, trying to judge a good distance to build up enough power but to also have more of a chance of Lux not dodging. That done, she rushed forwards in a Tackle, hoping to get a hit.
~
Logan watched at the Pidgey used a Sand-Attack, frowning. That wasn't good. The sandy dirt was flung into Helios' face, covering the Charmander's eyes too of course. He shook his head wildly, the sand flying everywhere. That got it all out, but his accuracy was still lowered. That would make this battle more difficult for the shiny salamander Pokémon as his attacks would be more likely to miss. "Use a Growl, then try a Scratch but remain calm if you miss!" he called, thinking there was a chance that Helios would become frustrated if he missed, which would make things even more difficult.
Helios tried to look at the Pidgey, his vision slightly blurred. At least he'd got all the sand out so it wasn't annoying him. He glared at the bird, using a Growl in a way so vicious it surprised even him. He tried not to show his surprise as he then in one fluid movement lunged forwards in a Scratch. His bad aim as well as not being used to having his accuracy lowered meant he was actually aiming for a spot which was barely a centimetre away from his intended target.
